March 2019

31 Days of Prayer
This month rather than worry and complain, spend each day in prayer with God. Get into your secret closet and make your requests known. Need a miracle? a financial breakthrough? healing? forgiveness? Each day substitute your negative thoughts and speech with prayer and meditation on God’s word.

“And I set my face unto the Lord God, to seek by prayer and supplications, with fasting, and sackcloth, and ashes” – Daniel 9:3

March is Women’s History Month
Women’s History Month had its origins as a national celebration in 1981 when Congress passed legislation that authorized and requested the President to proclaim the week beginning March 7, 1982 as “Women’s History Week.” Throughout the next five years, Congress continued to pass joint resolutions designating a week in March for this observation.
Pilgrim joins in this national celebration by sponsoring programs and honoring our First Lady, church mothers, and young women. We recognize the important God-given role women have played in nurturing and empowering the people in our communities to be more compassionate, more generous, more humane.
