About Us

What We Believe

Our core doctrines are founded on the infallible Word of God. These beliefs guide our worship, our fellowship, and how we live our lives.

The Doctrine of God

Jehovah God is one and Jesus is the one and only true God.

Deuteronomy 6:4; Isaiah 44:6, 14; John 1:1; I Timothy 3:16

The Bible

The Bible is the inspired Word of God. It is the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth. It is God-inspired and God-breathed and thus infallible and the final authority.

II Peter 1:21

The Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit is Jesus and every person must be filled with the Spirit evidenced by speaking with tongues before they can become a part of the mystical body of Christ. It is the Holy Spirit that puts one in the church; it is the power of God in the life of the believer which enables them to live a saved and sanctified life.

I Corinthians 12:13; Acts 2:4

Baptism in Jesus’ Name

Whatever we do in word or deed must be done in that great name. We are told to be baptized in that name. The believer needs both the Spirit and water baptism. The Bible makes no exception. Neither must we.

Colossians 3:17; Acts 2:38; John 3:3, 5

Sanctification

We believe that once saved a person must live a life set apart to the glory of God. We are sanctified when the Holy Spirit enters our lives and we are being sanctified daily. Sanctification deals with living holy. The Bible demands that of us.

Romans 1:1; I Thessalonians 4:1-12, 5:23; II Peter 3:18

Holy Communion

We firmly believe that every child of God is to take part in the Lord’s Supper because it shows the Lord’s death till He come. The bread represents the body of Christ while the wine (cup) represents His blood. While some churches struggle with leaven versus unleavened bread, that is not the case here. It is clear that the Jews used unleavened bread. But the Gentile churches obviously used leavened bread, for at the First Council in Jerusalem, James does not place a restriction on this custom for he did not want to place on the Gentiles burdens the Jews themselves could not bear. We use leavened bread or bread with yeast denoting Jesus our Passover Lamb was not only sacrificed for our sins but is risen and is Lord in the church.
