Generosity

Why We Give

At Pilgrim Church of Christ, we believe that giving is not a financial obligation, but a joyful response to the grace of God. Explore the biblical principles that guide our generous community.

An Act of Worship

Proverbs 3:9

Giving is an act of worship. When you share what you have, you honor God and recognize that every blessing comes from Him.

A Willing & Joyful Heart

2 Corinthians 9:7

Giving shows that your heart is willing and joyful. God cares more about your attitude toward giving than how much you give. You should not give if you feel forced or unwilling.

Sustaining the Ministry

Galatians 6:10

Giving helps fund the ministry and care for people in need. Offerings sustain the church's mission, support clergy, and provide for those who are in need or vulnerable.

Revealing the Heart

Matthew 6:21

Giving reveals the condition of the heart. Generous giving breaks the grip of materialism and prioritizes a relationship with God.

“Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this, says the Lord Almighty, and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it.”

Malachi 3:10
